-Crispy persimmon  is a specialty fruit of Da Lat, famous for its sweet taste and characteristic crunchiness. Crispy persimmon has the shape of a flat tomato, when ripe it is bright yellow or orange-red. When eaten, crispy persimmon brings a crunchy and sweet feeling, very attractive.
- Crispy persimmon is mainly grown in areas with cool climates all year round such as Da Lat, Lac Duong, and Don Duong. Crispy persimmon trees usually bloom in the third lunar month and bear fruit from the eighth to the eleventh lunar month.
- To achieve optimal sweetness and crunchiness, farmers often harvest the fruit when it is still green and incubate it in a sealed bag for 5-7 days to remove the astringent taste. After incubation, the persimmon will become sweeter and crunchier
